I /We have done many things in my many years here. I was born to the hospitality industry as the son of [when he retired] one of the top executives in the U.S. hotel industry. I learned many, many lessons at my Father’s knee/elbow. I have owned, operated, managed, and been responsible for food operations and properties from gourmet gift shops, single property restaurants, corporate and international properties, both free-standing and hotel properties.
I/We have done “quality control” reports for four and five-star resort properties, and my children say, when I get that look in a restaurant, “Shut up Daddy, it’s not your restaurant!” I am a stickler for perceived value and quality of product and service within the pricing parameters and ambience of a given property. Sometimes it make interesting writing.. and I try very hard to NOT be negative… I don’t like the news that sells because it’s negative. It’s a shame that the general population seems to hover over the negative, rather the positive; perhaps a case of “There but for the grace of God, go I”? Positive can be such a refreshing path for others to enjoy and embrace. It is also the formula for business success.
I/We have owned as well Real Estate companies in the United States and Mexico, as well as a retail packaging company for almost thirty years. [Yes, we are the incorporation of the old "hands-on" knowledge and the understanding of the "new" marketing strategy of todays business requirements. ]
